Golden Teacher Mushrooms is a classic strain which is named after their gold–capped appearance. These shrooms are an all time favourite among the psychonaught community for its introspective, philosophical effects. Golden Teachers are a potent breed of shrooms that feature a gold-colored cap with a thin stem.

Totally kickass! The trip goes very deep. Expect to deal with whatever you’re suppressing. After you finish up with the cackling and sobbing. The kaleidescopic effects are most impressive. Curiously only settles on hexagonal (6-sided) visuals at the very end. I think I saw every “visual constant” along the way… but hey why limit myself. Unlike the shrooms I’ve tried before, when I seriously freaked out, the whole thing just ended. (I find that very consoling, but your mileage may vary. Remember: what you take in with you, determines the experience; be in a good space, get ready before you take.)
Best of luck, highly recomended!
PS – book this for horizontal space (laying down). Flight time is about 10hrs (clock time), don’t expect to sleep until it’s over. The muscle weakness is very sudden, and comes in so many waves. Be in bed, or you’ll be on the floor, again and again. Do not mix with alcholol or benzos. The first makes it last longer; trust me it will feel like days anyhow, you’ll really wanna know when this is gonna end! The second is only dangerous, you will feel some anxiety regardless, no more or less than with the benzo, so just don’t risk the combo (and respiritory arrest). Remember to guide your mind, it’ll be very pliable at that time: just gently steer away from fear and you’ll be back to detached insightfulness. If you find the “idea” you’re enjoying drifting… just let go, there’s so much more coming. Super useful for “double depression” (depressed + depressive personality); introduces a new “angle on your shoulder” that doesn’t play the viscious cycle game but gets you on the sane track before the loop begins! (That can last a month from a single trip.) Also useful for quitting alchohol, withdrawls will stop as will cravings, very immediately. Just appreciate the blessing and lose the bottle; or you’ll wash out the psilicin remaining in your brain and be back in the dumps.
PPS- 7 days between sessions for full impact. Minimum 48 hours or your just wasting it.
PPPS- There will be a few hours where your body wretches. Your mind will be aware, but from a very optional distance. When your stomach unclenches, the experience is coming to a close. After the ensuing sleep you’ll feel physically a lot better than before.
PPPPS- food slows down the onset, but can make you nauseus. Suggest something light and liquidy, maybe yougurt or a thin soup; slows down onset, but doesn’t leave much in your tummy to make it upset. (Empty stomach = 20 mins, Whopper wednesday = 4 hrs; for comparison… really: yogurt.) After it kicks in, a sip of water is good to keep it rolling: don’t expect to get much more into a clenched stomach. Warning for people with GERDs / acid reflux: keep your head elevated (two pillows) and a bucket nearby. Normally you can’t vomit because your asophagus is tightly closed; but you are in a special boat, yours is shot. If you decide to nod off; do so only on your side; you don’t need to inhale any of that.
PPPPPS- I always think about death. But in a very accepting way. I hope that’s just my experiences. But if not: try enjoying being flat-out okay with the final outcome, and that your life wasn’t so bad. You aren’t going to die, it’s just the hightened introspection, and a bit of paranoia you chose not to defeat just in case. (But even decades of therapy will never come close to that level of acceptance.) Once you’ve got that figured out, seems to be permanent.
In short: if you’ve never done shrooms before, it’s super-weird. Weed will “refresh” the trip, so good combo there. Do use with people that you TRUST (absolutely no a-holes for this adventure); that can really stabilize the experience. And it’s also a good safety precaution in case of unforseen medical problems, like with anything else. BCCS stuff is super-clean, but your next supply may not be; start a good habit that’s just automatic…
I personally keep a spoonful of some of exactly what I’ve eaten, in a ziploc, clearly labelled. And write a note to the paramedics including all drugs and amounts (precription and otherwise) that I’ve taken, using lots of big letters and highlighter colours. And leave those together in an obvious place by the door. Never had the need. But coming from a medical environment… you’d better tell them and leave a sample. They won’t figure it out. Without this, they’ll follow the textbook and give you a lot of very strong drugs which may interact badly with what you’ve already taken. It’s also important for them to check for contaminants and wrong species; so a sample of what you actually ate is a godsend. Don’t mean to be scary. BCCS shrooms are grown in a controlled environment. But wild shrooms always have other species that look so very very similar… Best to start those good habits; because the next time someone might hand you a “nice treat” and it skips your mind that you don’t know where this comes from… It’s a blessing to have this stuff. I just want you to be in good practice to stay safe!
